Hold the block. Mitigation rises the longer it is held unbroken, to a stated ceiling short of immunity. Each hit mitigated banks 1 Grudge. You cannot attack while blocking. Cap 10 held.

Projectiles that strike the shield return to their sender at increased speed, dealing a stated flat amount rather than their own damage. Each one returned banks 1 Grudge.

Allies in your shield's shadow take a flat reduction from the direction you face, paying into each shadowed ally's Mitigation budget. Each hit they mitigate banks 1 Grudge. Up to 4 allies, at a capped rate per second.

Plant an omnidirectional wall blocking enemy movement and projectiles from every side. It holds a fixed absorb pool and shatters when exhausted. You cannot block while it stands, so Deliberate Stubbornness generates no Grudge. 1 per caster, 3 party-wide.

A charged thrust that ignores resistances entirely. Spends up to 3 Grudge, each adding flat damage and one more body of penetration, so it strikes at most 4 bodies.

A sword strike that heals you a flat amount per Grudge spent, capped at a stated amount per cast.

Spends your entire Grudge bank. A lunging thrust whose reach and damage scale with the Grudge spent, striking everything on the lunge line. At a full bank the first body takes a guaranteed critical.

Slam the shield forward; the sigil on its face detonates. Stagger everything caught in the arc. Spends no Grudge, but breaks the block and resets the Deliberate Stubbornness ramp to zero.
